As we look to the future, it is also time for NCA to embark on a Capital Campaign in order to plan for immediate athletic needs and future facility needs. Capital campaigns are launched when major purchases of land, buildings, or specialized equipment are needed, and monies received are placed into a special Capital Fund. Believing that God desires the continued growth of our school, NCA is accepting gifts toward the purchase of land and/or buildings for an athletic complex and eventually a new elementary campus.

The athletic complex would include baseball and soccer fields and, eventually, a full-size gym for high school athletics. Our current soccer fields may not be available after the fall season ends, we have been renting baseball fields, and during basketball season, seating is limited. There is a serious need for an athletic complex.

We also have space issues in the elementary building. State law requires that all kindergarten – 2nd grade classes must be on the first floor. There is only one unused classroom left on the first floor. Additionally, these rooms are quite small. The best way to grow a school is through your elementary school and currently our growth is limited.

You may wonder where the money will come from to finance such an endeavor. The money will come from the generous giving of families and friends of Neuse Christian Academy and the community. Everyone stands to benefit greatly from this campaign. On our own, none of us have the resources to raise this money. But together, and with the Lord’s help, we can raise the necessary funds. Typically, approximately 80 percent of gifts come from individuals and 20 percent from foundations and corporations. Tuition and fees cover the general operating expenses of the school. There may be a small surplus revenue from tuition at the end of the year that can go toward the building fund. Building fund money must therefore come from the generous and sacrificial support of NCA families and friends.

We ask that first you pray that the Lord will provide the resources we are seeking and secondly that you consider what you might be able to give.

We anticipate five phases of the Capital Campaign:

Phase I – Fundraising. NCA must raise a minimum of $250,000 as a down payment on land. Fundraising will continue throughout the project.

Phase II – Procure Land. We need approximately 20 acres – 12 for the athletic complex and eight acres for the school.

Phase III – Land development for soccer and baseball fields.

Phase IV – Full-size gym for HS athletic events.

Phase V – Elementary school building to accommodate 200+ students.
