Our story began in 1972 when Neuse Baptist Church established Neuse Baptist Christian School with classes for kindergarten through 3rd grade. In 1987, NBCS graduated its first class. In July 2009, NBCS became Neuse Christian Academy and transitioned to an independent private Christian school under the leadership of a School Board. The current enrollment is 394 students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
Neuse has had over 600 graduates making an impact in their community. Among them are pastors, teachers, attorneys, business owners, medical professionals, parents, etc. The biblical worldview and servant leadership principles that were taught at NCA are now influencing others.
Our goal at NCA is to give every graduate the tools for success in the university environment. Our college prep high school is academically rigorous and focused on both spiritual and leadership success in life. Students have the opportunity to take Honors, Advanced Placement, and Dual-enrollment classes.
The faculty, staff, and leadership of NCA are a uniquely gifted and dedicated group of professionals, many with advanced degrees in their fields. The bond between faculty and students is warm, caring, and supportive.
Neuse Christian Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), which is the largest body of Christian schools and colleges in the world. We are also accredited by Cognia (formerly known as AdvancEd).

The mission of Neuse Christian Academy is accomplished through a partnership between the school and home. NCA seeks to develop Christ-like character and intellectual competence, helping each student to achieve maximum academic and personal success.
Biblical Worldview
Education at NCA is approached from a biblical perspective that recognizes the sovereignty of God. Our curriculum academically challenges elementary, middle school, and high school students and upholds the Christian standards we desire to develop in our students.
Faculty
The caring, committed faculty are degreed and professionally certified and actively incorporate God’s Word into the classes and activities of each day. They realize God created each child with unique strengths and abilities. Teachers understand that learning takes place in a variety of ways. They desire for their students to discover their God-given talents and potential in Christ.
Educational Support Services
Educational Support Services are designed to provide the necessary instruction and support to students who have different learning needs than a typical student. This would include students with learning disabilities, attention deficit hyperactivity disorders, cognitive disabilities, language disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, and other diagnoses that impact learning.
Incredible Involvement
Parent and family involvement enriches the success of the NCA. The participation of parents, grandparents, and other special relatives and friends in various activities throughout the year is wonderful. Our Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) tirelessly gives of their time and talents to make NCA the best it can be!
The members of the Neuse Christian Academy School Board are passionate about Christian education and have a heart to serve God in the ministry of NCA. Each board member feels called by the Lord to serve and it is their desire to follow His guidance in all areas to ensure the spiritual and academic success of the school.
The Board is the policy setting body of the school and they work closely with the Administrator, who has the responsibility of implementing the policies and daily operations of NCA. Board meetings are scheduled every month except July and December.
Penny HillMrs. Hill is the School Administrator. She has a Master of Arts in Education, Administration and Supervision. Mrs. Hill has been in education and at NCA since 1991.
